Hi. Welcome and stuff. I’m bad at introducing myself, or long-winded autobiographical musings. So instead, here’s what I’m carrying in my bag. (From left to right, kind of)
1. Apple earbuds/iPhone 4S in white.
I’m one of the few people to only have switched over from a Blackberry this year. It’s been great so far, but I’m still sometimes tempted to join the Android bandwagon.
2. Leather gloves
They are maroon, and unfortunately, I always forget to put them on before going outside. Once I am outside and already feeling like my fingers will freeze and die, I often choose to play with my touchscreen phone instead of opting for warmth. Sorry, fingers.
3. Gucci Wallet
Don’t worry, I know it’s fake. I still like it though.
4. Rayban wayfarers in tortoiseshell
Despite losing a pair and then re-purchasing the exact same pair, I stand by saying that these are among my best purchases. Something you can wear almost everyday of the year is something worth investing in.
5. EOS lip balm
It’s mint.
6. Makeup
Yes, I carry 4 kinds of lipsticks. And a lip stain. I also carry 2 different black liquid eyeliners and cream blush. My eyelash curler is missing from these pictures. Pictured lip things include: Revlon lip butters in Red Velvet and Candy Apple, Victoria Secret lipstick, and 17 (from Boots) Lasting Fix lipstick in Showcase. The eyeliners are a random drugstore brand and Motives, which is almost as good as the Stila one.
7. Ephemera from my wallet
Loose change, business card, Starbucks card. I am a total Starbucks snob.
8. Keys
Self-explanatory.
9. TTC tokens
I live in Toronto. I don’t have my license, but I don’t really mind (though I guess I should). Typically, I have a metropass, but some months (like this one) I decide to be crazy and use tokens instead.
10. The latest issue of Worn Journal, a notebook, a pen, and the book I am currently reading
I’m a new design intern at Worn Journal, which is an awesome Toronto-based magazine with an intelligent take on fashion. If you haven’t picked it up, you should. I’ve just started reading Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse Five. I’ll let you know how that goes. The notebook, sadly, is usually only filled with to-do lists.
