This past summer I was in New York one week too early for Fashion Week. Prior to this trip, I had visited the city once when I was 12, and another time for just a day six years ago. Seeing as this was the first time I had ever been able to actually experience New York on my own terms, I completely fell in love. Needless to say, reading about all the events and shows at places I had visited just one week prior was a little heartbreaking. Well, catwalk season is approaching, and once again, I’m not in New York.
Here’s to reminiscing.
Instead of fashion, the trip was spent taking multiple trips to Shake Shack, eating frozen yogurt on a daily basis, and treating SoHo flagship stores like Alexander Wang as if they were museums. For the most part, the trip was spent eating, shopping, and in Central Park. No complaints here. New York City is magical, vibrant, and brimming with culture and energy.
Photos from Central Park, The High Line, and Lower Manhattan. Sadly, my camera ran out of batteries halfway through the trip. If it hadn’t, there would be approximately 134 pictures of Bethesda Terrace alone.
