This is a collection of fun things I’ve come across on the interwebs.
Recently I clicked on my Gmail drafts folder and was surprised to find an array of links I had left drafted in emails in hopes of remembering to read/look/peruse them later. Am I the only one who does this? Interestingly enough, these links spanned over the past three years, and I thought I’d share them because it’s been nice re-discovering them.
I have personally always enjoyed reading and looking through lists of links that other people thought were interesting. Examples of such are Gala Darling‘s “Carousel” and Danielle Meder‘s “Click Click Click”. A warning though: the following articles, etc. may not be timely and current, but I think that’s okay. You are what you eat…err, read.
“How English Is Evolving Into a Language We May Not Even Understand”
It’s pretty fascinating how language is in a constant evolution.“The Alphamen by M/M PARIS”
This is still lovely, fun, and interesting design 5 years later.“The Fashion Industry’s Disturbing View of Gemma Ward’s Weight Gain”
I was so obsessed with Gemma Ward in high school. It’s awful how cruel press can be.“Unattainable Beauty: The decade’s most egregious retouching scandals.”
Both disturbing and saddening that such a twisted view of beauty is promoted so nonchalantly.“How to Make Love in America”
Um, Sarah Nicole Prickett is my fave. (After Lena Dunham?)“How Jenna Lyons Transformed J.Crew into a Cult Brand”
Can Jenna Lyons be my boss? Please?“The Year I Learned Everything”
Rookie Magazine is obviously an Internet haunt I frequent regularly, and this happens to be my favourite work of fiction on the site. Related: the story in “The Sex Crylebration” may be the funniest thing I’ve ever read.
Bye & happy reading!
