Pearson Airport – gate awaiting flight, January 3rd, 10:32 AM I’m about to board a plane to New York. It’s not a big deal, but it’s a reminder of the first time I boarded a plane sans-family. I was 17, which in other words means I was at my most angst-filled. I remember listening to Jack’s Mannequin’s Everything in Transit album and thinking that it just made sense for what was happening to me at that specific point of time less in a lyrical sense, but just in how it felt. And now, boarding another plane nearly 8 years later (8 years, what??), the idea of how things feel are [...]

Notes to Self.
This is a collection of fun things I’ve come across on the interwebs. Recently I clicked on my Gmail drafts folder and was surprised to find an array of links I had left drafted in emails in hopes of remembering to read/look/peruse them later. Am I the only one who does this? Interestingly enough, these links spanned over the past three years, and I thought I’d share them because it’s been nice re-discovering them. It’s also strange coming back from vacation and immediately settling into ~fall vibes~ but I’m not complaining. As much as I miss the California sunshine, non-sensical sweaters + shorts weather is my favourite kind. Anyway, this is what I’ve been listening to of late; lots of music that kind of “feel” fall to me. Also, related: AM, the new Arctic Monkeys album is kind of amazing — I feel like I’m listening to John Lennon re-incarnated or something. High for This (The Weeknd Cover) – Ellie Goulding Arabella [...]
Where ideas get dressed.
The way I felt when I woke up this morning is how everyone should feel the morning after prom. Last night, Worn Fashion Journal hosted “Secondhand Prom” at the Church of the Holy Trinity, and essentially it was the BEST PROM EVER. Or at the very least, I had a much better time than I did at my actual prom. Also, they had one of the most delicious/outrageously beautiful cakes I have ever consumed/laid eyes on. Moreover, I consumed it while dancing/singing along to No Doubt’s “Just a Girl.” Perfect. Overall, I am currently filled with a substantial amount of Worn-love. The prom was held in celebration of the launch [...]
