By Internet standards, I’m totally late on seeing this. Early this month, Wildfox released a lookbook inspired by Clueless, one of the best things ever. Wildfox isn’t really my style clothing wise, but generally they do pretty awesome lookbooks. I mean, Charlotte Free. The brand’s Clueless lookbook essentially re-invents the movie’s key scenes in a really fun, accurate way. It’s campy, nostalgic, and definitely zeroes in on the idea that the 90′s are back. Just a couple days ago, my sister and I were watching an early episode of FRIENDS and commenting on/mostly joking about how hip Monica Geller‘s (and sometimes Rachel‘s) wardrobe would be today. But anyway. Although I [...]

Portfolio Update
Yesterday marked my first day off in a few days, during which I was finally able to hide from all the freezing winter weather whilst sipping on tea. Exciting life, right? Seeing as I had no plans of leaving my house, I also decided to update my portfolio with a couple small things I’ve been meaning to add for awhile and clean it up just a little. Take a look if you so please: http://maeganfidelino.com.
Thoughts on Lolita
Artwork by the super-talented Kathryn MacNoughton Apart from getting this blog up and running, my biggest accomplishment of the month was finishing Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita. I don’t know if this is embarrassing to admit, but it was the most difficult book I have ever tried to conquer. Over the span of (unmentionable) months I tried to bring myself to finish it, I would mention my reading it to friends and they would respond in shock that I hadn’t done so in the past. It was what I presume to be a very “me” book for a variety of reasons. But I COULD NOT get through it. Here’s why: after the [...]
Winter Blues = Summer Nostalgia
Seeing as temperatures have been astoundingly cold and all I’ve been wanting to do is stay indoors drinking tea, I’m finding myself nostalgic for warm summer days. These are just a few lacklustre photos from my trip to Montreal last August for Osheaga, Canada’s Coachella imitation festival. The trip was comprised of good music, plentiful shopping, and copious amounts of poutine consumption. Despite the extreme heat/torrential rain, lack of cell phone reception, and bad tan lines that I probably still have, Osheaga was an experience I would definitely repeat.
Carryall
Hi. Welcome and stuff. I’m bad at introducing myself, or long-winded autobiographical musings. So instead, here’s what I’m carrying in my bag. (From left to right, kind of) 1. Apple earbuds/iPhone 4S in white. I’m one of the few people to only have switched over from a Blackberry this year. It’s been great so far, but I’m still sometimes tempted to join the Android bandwagon. 2. Leather gloves They are maroon, and unfortunately, I always forget to put them on before going outside. Once I am outside and already feeling like my fingers will freeze and die, I often choose to play with my touchscreen phone instead of opting for warmth. Sorry, [...]
